Welcome to the Expatify Directory! This section of our site is designed to connect expats in Cyprus with trusted, locally based businesses and services. Whether you’re a new arrival looking for essentials or a local business wanting to be seen, these terms explain how the directory works and what’s expected from all users.

By using or listing on our Directory, you agree to these terms. They help keep things clear, fair, and useful for everyone involved.

1. Who We Are

Expatify (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an online platform focused entirely on supporting expats in Cyprus. Our Directory showcases local businesses, service providers, and organisations that can support life in Cyprus — from immigration lawyers to movers, cafes to clinics.

Our goal? To help users find quality local options and give businesses a platform to grow.

2. Who Can Use the Directory

You may use the Directory if you:

• Are at least 18 years old

• Use it for personal, lawful purposes only

• Agree not to post or solicit inappropriate, misleading, or harmful content

Businesses can apply to be listed, but we reserve the right to approve or reject listings based on relevance, quality, or accuracy.

3. Listing Eligibility and Accuracy

To be featured, your business must:

• Be located in Cyprus or serve the Cyprus expat community directly

• Offer a legal, reputable product or service

• Submit accurate and truthful information (including contact details, description, location, and reviews)

By submitting a listing, you confirm that all information provided is current and accurate. It’s your responsibility to update your listing if anything changes.

We review listings manually and may reject, edit or remove entries that:

• Contain false or misleading information

• Promote illegal or unethical activity

• Receive consistent negative feedback

• Are irrelevant to the Cyprus expat community

4. Business Reviews and User Feedback

The Directory may include reviews and user-generated content (comments, ratings, etc.). Here’s the deal:

• Reviews must be honest, respectful, and based on real experiences

• We don’t allow spam, personal attacks, or fake reviews

• Businesses can respond publicly, but abusive replies will be removed

We moderate content to keep the space useful, respectful, and relevant — but we’re not liable for what individual users post. If something violates our terms, please report it.

5. Paid Listings and Promotions

Some directory listings may be featured or promoted in exchange for payment. If you opt for a paid plan:

• Pricing, features and renewal details will be clearly stated during checkout

• Payment is due upfront and non-refundable, unless agreed otherwise

• It’s your responsibility to maintain your business information and account access

We offer these options to help businesses gain visibility — but they don’t influence the credibility of reviews or editorial content.

6. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of your own business content (logos, descriptions, photos) but grant Expatify a non-exclusive licence to display and promote that content across our platform. We’ll never sell or repurpose your content outside the Directory without permission.
You agree not to upload content you don’t have rights to use.

All Expatify content — including the directory structure, layout, text and branding — is protected by copyright and cannot be copied, scraped, or republished without permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

We work hard to keep the Directory up-to-date, fair and helpful — but we can’t promise:

• Every listing is accurate or current

• Every service listed will meet your expectations

• The site will be free from downtime or technical issues

Use of the Directory is entirely at your own risk. Expatify is not responsible for:

• Losses caused by inaccurate business info

• Interactions or transactions between users and listed businesses

• Issues caused by user-submitted content

Always do your own research and use common sense before engaging a service.

8. Removal and Suspension

We reserve the right to remove any listing at any time, particularly if it:

• Breaks these terms

• Receives consistent, serious complaints

• Appears to be spammy, inactive or misleading

We may also suspend user accounts or block access if a user is found abusing the Directory — for example, by submitting fake reviews or attempting to manipulate visibility.

9. Privacy and Data Use

We collect and process data in line with our Privacy Policy (link to your policy). Business data you submit will be publicly visible on your listing page.
We won’t sell your data to third parties. If you close your account or request removal, your listing will be deleted from the site, although some data may remain in backups for legal or technical reasons.

10. Changes to the Directory or These Terms

We may update the Directory or these Terms and Conditions occasionally. Any major updates will be posted on the site. Continuing to use the Directory after changes means you agree to the updated terms.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. Disputes will be settled in Cypriot courts. If any part of these terms is held invalid, the rest still applies.
