February in Cyprus is all about village life, seasonal produce, and breathtaking nature. If you’re looking for a reason to escape the city and experience authentic Cypriot traditions, these are Cyprus festivals you must-visit.
Arakapas, a cozy little village in the heart of Lemesos, is hosting its 2nd Mandarin Festival, a full-day celebration of Cyprus’s juiciest mandarins. Expect freshly picked fruit, homemade jams, citrus-infused desserts, and even some tangy liqueurs. With live music, traditional dance performances, and a lively village atmosphere, it’s a great way to start February with a burst of flavour.

By late February, Cyprus’s almond trees burst into full bloom, transforming the countryside into a dreamy landscape of pink and white blossoms. Three villages—Limnatis, Giolou, and Salamiou—are hosting their own celebrations, giving you plenty of options to enjoy traditional food, music, and nature.
Limnatis is one of Cyprus’s largest almond-producing villages, and this festival is the biggest of the three celebrations. Enjoy live folk music, dance performances, and stalls selling almond-based treats—including pastelli (sesame and almond brittle), roasted almonds, and homemade almond liqueur. This is the ultimate almond festival experience, with a vibrant village atmosphere and plenty of food to try.

For a more laid-back, intimate experience, head to Giolou, a wine-producing village in the Pafos district. Here, the festival takes place in the village square, where you can enjoy almond-based sweets, local wines, and traditional Cypriot dishes while chatting with friendly locals. The scenic mountain views and blossoming trees make it a peaceful and picturesque way to spend a Sunday.

If you love nature and breathtaking views, Salamiou is the perfect destination. Sitting at 650 meters above sea level, this village is surrounded by rolling vineyards and almond orchards, making it one of the most picturesque festival locations. Along with live music, food stalls, and cultural performances, Salamiou’s festival is great for hiking and photography, as it offers some of the best views of the Pafos countryside in bloom.
